Someone from Engadget posted this nifty size comparison of the Nokia E90, Apple iPhone, and a deck of cards. OK, so its a bit bulky compared to the iPhone, but hey, a 3.2 mp camera with autofocus, and a QWERTY keyboard for those of us stuck in the past.

NOTE: even if you are not interested in the size of the Nokia E90, click on the link anyway to see one of the coolest new websites I have seen in awhile. Beautiful graphics, very nice to look at. It allows you to add items to compare, side by side, for size. Great idea for online shopper.

Perusing the Dynamism web site this morning, looking for the latest geek-mobile, and I stumbled upon the Nokia E90 Communicator. I had seen stealth photos for this on www.Engadget.com, but didn't realize it was to be released in Barcelona at GSM 2007.[Photo]

To refresh, I was resigned to buy the Cingular 8525, just doing the daily www.myTrigger.com hunt for a good price. I had fallen in love with the brand new Samsung F700, but then found out it was only tri-band, and would not work with my current provided, Cingular.

Well, along comes the Communicator. The big plus for me is a better camera than the non-autofocus 2mp camera on the 8525. The Communicator has a 3.2 megapixel camera (equal to the Nokia N73) with autofocus. Not as many mp's as the 5 found in the Samsung F700, but plenty for photoblogging.

The E90 Communicator is a bit thinner and longer (read sleeker) than the 8525, plus, the internal display is an incredible 800x352 pixels. For more specs, follow the title link.

I think one's worth waiting for.

Update: Called Dynamism for price and release date. No price yet. but possibly available in March. I saw it on another site for pre-order at $799.00, so I am assuming it will be around there. Is it worth it?

I have been searching for months for the perfect mophoblo (mobile photoblogger) convergence phone, and this past week, I settled on the Cingular 8525 (aka HTC HErmes or TyTN). It has a QWERTY keypad which is necessary for longer posts, but only a disappointing 2mp camera for the photos. There are much better cameraphones out there with 3.2mp, autofocus and flash (Sony Ericsson 790a, Nokia N73), but I crossed them off my list because of the tiny, tiny keypads.

Just as I have made my decision, the perfect device is announced by Samsung. What a beauty! The F700 has a sleek form factor, slide out QWERTY keypad, and a 5mp camera with autofocus. It is the perfect combination for a mobile photo blogger. It has a 2.78 inch touchscreen, all the better to view and edit photoposts with. Now the question is, when will it drop and how much will it cost?
